Compassionate leave

If you are unfortunate enough to suffer the death of an immediate family member, Studio 24 allows for compassionate leave to make arrangements and to attend the funeral.

We offer a minimum of 1 week paid leave, though at Studio 24's discretion we may allow for further periods of unpaid or paid leave, depending on your situation.

Compassionate leave applies for immediate family members, which is defined as your spouse or partner, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, grandchild or your spouse’s or partner's parent.

Parental bereavement leave and pay

If you have parental responsibility for a child under the age of 18 and suffer their loss, you will have the right to take at least 2 weeks parental bereavement leave.

Parental bereavement leave can be taken either in 1 or 2 consecutive weeks, or as 2 separate blocks of 1 week each, and must be taken within 56 weeks of the date of the loss.

We offer paid leave for parental bereavement leave.
