We're committed to ensuring everyone has a healthy working environment and this extends to home working.

Work station assessment

HSE guidance says that employers have a responsibility to support staff working from home. A poor workstation setup can exacerbate issues such as back, neck, upper and lower limb problems along with visual issues, fatigue and stress. Providing a workstation assessment can help employees to work more comfortably and efficiently.

We can provide a 30 minute online consultation with Allpress Ergonomics to help identify your needs. The result of this is a remote workstation assessment report with a list of recommended equipment.

Standard work equipment

Everyone has standard work equipment, which includes:

  • Laptop (Apple MacBook Pro for designers/developers, MacBook Air for everyone else)
  • Monitor
  • Mouse (trackpad)
  • Keyboard
  • Headset for clearer video/audio calls (standard headset)
  • Any cable adapters necessary to do your work

Your standard work equipment remains the property of Studio 24 and must be returned if you leave Studio 24 employment.

Budget for home working equipment

We have a budget of up to £500 (exclusive of VAT) per individual to spend on home working equipment that helps create a more healthy home working environment (e.g. desk, laptop stand, chair).

Please note this budget is in addition to your standard work equipment. If you purchase the equipment make sure you supply us with a VAT receipt.

If you have a need for more specialised equipment that costs more than this management will consider this (though any additional spend is at our discretion). Otherwise you will be expected to pay for any additional costs.

Any additional home working equipment purchased after a workstation assessment does not need to be returned to Studio 24 if you leave employment. Most of this is individualised so it's not practical to return this.
