Core purpose
Studio 24 is a digital design, technology and marketing agency. Our core purpose defines what we do and how we run the business.
Our core focus is to create digital products (websites, web apps, etc) using user-centered design. This means our work is focussed on the end-user's needs while ensuring they meet our client's business goals.
We achieve this by uniting design and technology together to create great user experiences.
The entire project team can and should contribute to user-centered design - everyone can input creative ideas.
Our principles
We care about the following in our work, these act as guiding principles for what we do:
Human-centered
Our work is designed for real people, we should use human-centered design techniques to inform our work and ensure we create the right solution for the people actually using it. We should consider the impact of the digital products we create.
Inclusive
We firmly believe in a web for all: creating websites and web apps that are accessible, work across different devices (responsive), are robust and reliable for users with different internet connection speeds or devices (performance), and supports internationalisation where the target audience have different language needs.
Sustainable
We believe creating digital products that are sustainable: they should be efficient and minimise their environmental impact, be maintainable and long-lasting (to avoid waste), and be resilient so they work when they are needed.
Open
We support the open web, we use web standards to build for the web, we use open source tools wherever possible, and make time available for staff to contribute to open source.
We believe data should be open and recommend to our clients to open data where possible and allow customers to control their data. We care about ethics, data privacy and security.
